Adirondack Trailways and Greyhound both maintain a regular bus route between New York City and Lake George. If you prefer to take the train, Amtrak runs from New York City's Penn Station to Montreal with a stop in Fort Edward, located a mere 20 minutes from Lake George. The train station provides car rentals, taxis, and a shuttle service through the Greater Glens Falls Transit System in order to get you to your final destination.
