A Beautiful Lake Town

Tripadvisor acknowledges that lake towns tend to be relaxing, but they were looking for places that incorporated some adventure – on the water and on land – as well. Lake George clearly fits the bill.

The renowned travel site called out the dinner and sightseeing cruises aboard Lake George Steamboat Company’s Lac du Saint Sacrement, hiking at Shelving Rock Falls, and the award-winning wines at Adirondack Winery as a few of the reasons why Lake George made the list of best lake towns.

This is not the first time Lake George has received such an accolade. Just last year it was included in Time’s Best Places to Travel.

Tripadvisor recommends going with a rental property as your accommodation when visiting a lake town, because of the privacy and comfort this lodging option can offer.
