Thrillist Names Lake George as One of the Best Lake Towns in the U.S.

Thrillist named Lake George as one of the best lake towns in the U.S., going so far as to say the town had “classic Griswold summer vacation vibes.”

While we’re not exactly sure if that’s the way we would describe it, residents and visitors alike know that Lake George most certainly deserves a spot on the list. Between the family-friendly activities, the outdoor options, and the unique shops and restaurants that line the main drag, Lake George is one town that simply can’t be overlooked.

You probably don’t want a vacation like the Griswolds’, but Lake George does provide much of the charm and nostalgia you may be looking for on your next great adventure. Take a hike, enjoy the local attractions, and don’t forget to buy souvenir hats for the whole family!
