The Glen Island Group of island campsites is located close Northwest Bay on Lake George, and the Glen Island Ranger Station is the nearest one to Bolton Landing, NY.
Learn About the Glen Island Group
Traveling north from the Long Island Group brings campers to the Glen Island Group. These islands are in the central part of Lake George between Bolton Landing and Fort Ann. Most sites on these islands allow up to six people, but some are limited to two or four people per site, depending on the size of the island.
The Glen Island Ranger Station is on Glen Island, so it's only accessible by boat. You can check-in at the ranger station or at the DEC's office at Norowal Marina on Sagamore Road in Bolton Landing. Glen Island also features a convenience store where you can stock up on supplies.
NOTE: To reach your island campsite, you will need to go to a private marina on Lake George to park and launch your boat. Some businesses offer water taxi services to the islands, but you will need to find overnight parking for your vehicle.
