Your Next Adventure Awaits With Mountain ATV Ridin'
The southeastern Adirondacks is filled with things to do outdoors, but now, you can enjoy ATV riding just a short drive from Lake George. Located at Mountain Airstrip Farm, a historic property with 171 acres of scenic woods and farmland, Mountain ATV Ridin' is the perfect place to build your riding skills and have a blast exploring tracks and trails. Here's what you need to know about their riding and learning options:
Track Rides
Ideal for beginners, Mountain ATV Ridin' features a Dual Track System (DTS) spread out across a 3,000-foot grass airstrip. The DTS has been designed to help riders learn to operate an ATV and improve upon their skills, and it includes an outer oval track with fewer twists and turns, as well as an inner track that's a little more challenging. Both ATVs and UTVs are available for riding on the DTS.
Guided Trail Tours
When you're ready to get out and hit the trails on an ATV or UTV, sign up for one of their exciting guided tours. These two-hour excursions will bring you around the property and along winding wooded trails, across bridges, along a river, and over gentle slopes and terrain. You'll even visit a historic cemetery, stop at mountain and river vistas, and have time to just soak up the natural surroundings. All tours are fully guided with reservations required, and your trail leader will be able to answer any questions you may have along the way.
Safety Certificates and Riding Lessons
Safety is key at Mountain ATV Ridin', and they offer riding lessons for teenagers who want to learn more about how to ride safely. Their two-hour training program includes videos, a written and oral test, and an hour of ATV riding time on the Dual Track System. A safety certificate is required for all riders under the age of 16 who want to ride with Mountain ATV Ridin'; however, a bonus of completing the training program is that you'll receive $50 off your first guided trail tour!
