About this event
Join multimedia artist Millicent Young and musician Timothy Hill for a live performance of the installation artwork Sutra for Belonging, featured in the exhibition Cusp. Sutra for Belonging is a multimedia installation of projection and sound integrated with handmade sculpture. This transdisciplinary improvisational experience features vocalization, spoken word and instruments including guitar, lyre and tanpura, intertwined with Young’s installation in Wood Gallery. Following the performance the artists will participate in a talk-back with the audience.
The exhibition Cusp, curated by Jen Dragon of Cross Contemporary Art Projects, display artists that work in media that never settle into any realm, on the cusp between painting, sculpture, installation, and poetry. Performance begins at 6 pm.
