This Mother’s Day, The Hyde Collection invites you to the Madonna Tour of Hyde House, a remarkable tribute to one of the most beloved mothers in Western culture—the 'Mother Mary' or 'Virgin Mary.' As one of the most frequently depicted figures in art spanning over 400 years, her legacy comes alive in this curated collection. The Hyde Collection proudly features 14 masterpieces with origins from Spain, France, and Germany, offering an unparalleled look at her artistic representation through history.
This year’s tour also includes rare Renaissance artworks from the Georgi Collection, currently on loan to The Hyde. Diligently researched and thoughtfully prepared by two of our senior docents, the tour provides a broad historical perspective that is both enlightening and educational. Don't miss this once-a-year opportunity to explore the fascinating story of this iconic figure depicted in art.
In addition, The Hyde Collection is delighted to present the “Art in Bloom” tours, a visual festival of floral arrangements artfully created by local florists and gardeners inspired by selected artworks currently on view at the museum.
