Join us for a Naturalist-led tour learning all about the science and history behind maple syrup. You’ll see sap collection, learn about our sugarbush, and get a tour of our onsite Sugarhouse. Your tour will conclude with a tasting flight of golden, amber, and dark maple syrup served with French toast stick dippers.
When: Saturday, March 8th.
Tours starting at: 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 1:00, 1:30, and 2:00.
What: 45 minute-1 hour Naturalist-led tours ending with a syrup tasting served with French toast sticks. Tours will include a walk along our Sugar Trail and Base Loop Trails. Stops during the tour will include sap collection and tasting and a firsthand look at how we turn sap into syrup in our Sugarhouse.
Who: This tour is suitable for guests of all ages who are interested in learning about maple sugaring, and are able to traverse roughly a quarter mile of mostly flat trail/terrain in a mix of forested dirt and gravel trails. Depending on weather, the trail may have some snow, ice, and or mud. The trail is not stroller accessible.
Rates and Reservations: $5 per person in addition to the $5 per vehicle Day Use Fee. Reserve your spot via a $1 per person deposit at upyondafarm.com. Upon arrival for your scheduled time, the remainder of $4 per person and Day Use Fee will be paid at check in. Please note that the $1 reservation deposit is nonrefundable. Members only pay the $1 per person deposit.
