About this event

"No matter what your age or life path, whether making art is your career or your hobby or your dream, it is not too late or too egotistical or too selfish or too silly to work on your creativity." ~Julia Cameron

Do you wish you could jusgt be as creative as other people? Do you see them enjoying their artistic abilities (seemingly so easily) and wish that was you? Well, you can enjoy your artistic abilities- and YES, you DO have them! This book, group, and activities can help you to find them!

Join us for the Artist's Way Creative Cluster at the Creative Jam. This is a 13-week program that will help you unlock your capacity for creativity — whether in art, at work, or in life. At its core, it's a great practice to access more delight, curiosity, and creative inquiry.

Each week you will read one chapter of this book- The Artist's Way. Then, at our weekly meeting, we will meet to discuss any insights, healings, issues, and breakthroughs that arise from the work we do through the reading and activities.

You will need to purchase the book- The Artist's Way (found at Amazon or other fine booksellers), and commit to attending each week. (Missing a week or two will not seriously affect your outcome). You will also need a notebook (full paper size is best) to use at home for your activities.

If you are ready (or maybe hoping/wishing you are ready) to unlock your creativity this is the group for you. Your $65 registration fee gives you access to all 13 weeks.

NOTE: This is an age 14+ group.

About the author of The Artist's Way, Julia Cameron: Julia has been an active artist for more than thirty years. She is the author of forty books, fiction and nonfiction, including her bestselling works on the creative process: The Artist's Way, Walking in This World and Finding Water.

Her work has been translated into more than thirty-five languages and has sold more than four million copies worldwide. Also a novelist, playwright, songwriter and poet, she has multiple credits in theater, film and television.

What to Expect:
In this Creative Cluster, we will meet as a group. Discussions will center around the weekly reading, the activities, and any insights that come to you during the week about your creative journey. In the first 30 minutes we will work on an opening activity, the second 30 minutes will be used to review the weeks reading and the last 30 minutes will be a closing activity designed to help you continue on your creative discovery that upcoming week.

As an Artist’s Way facilitator, I will support, encourage and hold a space built of respect and trust, heartfelt connection and humility. We acknowledge that: Creativity flourishes in a place of safety and acceptance. Creativity grows among friends, withers among enemies. All creative ideas are children who deserve our protection. All creative success requires creative failure. Fulfilling our creativity is a sacred trust. Violating someone’s creativity violates a sacred trust. Creative feedback must support the creative child, never shame it. Creative feedback must build on strengths never focus on weaknesses. Success occurs in clusters and is born in generosity. The good of another can never block our own.
