Popular Pizza, Wings, & Baskets of Things Event Returns This March
WAIT House hosts its Annual Fundraising Event on Saturday, March 1st
GLENS FALLS, NY – WAIT House is excited to announce the return of its “Pizza, Wings, & Baskets of Things” event. Join us on Saturday, March 1st, at the Heritage Hall in the COOL Insuring Arena in downtown Glens Falls. All proceeds will support the homeless youth WAIT House serves.
Tickets are only $20 per person and include all-you-can-eat pizza, wings, beer, soda, and water. The highlight of the evening is a Penny Ticket Auction featuring over 100 themed gift baskets.
Sharon Sano, the event’s creator, was inspired by a similar fundraiser she attended while on vacation. Since its inception, Sharon has been a key figure in making “Pizza, Wings, & Baskets of Things” a community favorite. “The event sells out every year, with over 200 attendees coming together to enjoy a fun-filled evening while supporting a meaningful cause,” said Sharon. “Its success is made possible through the incredible generosity of restaurants, businesses, and community members who contribute delicious food and craft amazing gift baskets.”
More than 20 local restaurants are expected to donate food and beverages for this year’s event.
WAIT House is currently accepting gift basket donations for the raffle. Those interested in contributing can contact Tabby Beck, Administrative Assistant, at 518-796-1803 to arrange a drop-off or pick-up.
Since 2003, WAIT House has provided shelter and vital support to homeless youth in Glens Falls. Through its emergency shelter and transitional living program for young pregnant and parenting women, WAIT House has helped countless individuals find stability and hope for the future. Events like this fundraiser make these services possible.
