The Warren County Tourism & Hospitality Community is proud to present your Heroes of Hospitality. They comprise local leaders both past and present who have made a significant impact in our tourism and hospitality industries.
2024 Heroes of Hospitality
Charles R. Wood was a key figure in Warren County who opened Gaslight Village, operated Lake George and Schroon Lake resorts, and co-founded Double H Ranch.
Bob Flacke was a schoolteacher, environmentalist, and local leader who devoted his life to public service in Lake George and beyond.
Sam Luciano is the President of the Fort William Henry Corporation, and a major leader in the Warren County hospitality industry.
Gene Merlino has been Town Supervisor of Lake Luzerne for 19 years and works closely with the Warren County Board of Supervisors Tourism Committee as Chairman.
Dennis Dickinson was a surveyor and public servant who helped develop the mandatary boat inspection program aimed to protect Lake George.
Vincent Crocitto Jr. owns the Holiday Inn Resort and Super 8 Motel in Lake George, and is a town board member and loving father.
Rebecca Wood is the Resort President of Six Flags Great Escape Theme Park and Lodge, who strives to improve the guest experience.
