2022 Heroes of Hospitality: Gina Mintzer

Gina Mintzer is the Executive Director of the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB (LGRCC-CVB), where she leads efforts to foster tourism and economic growth in the Lake George region. Since joining the organization in 2017, Gina has played a key role in driving initiatives that benefit the local community, overseeing a dynamic team of 13 staff who manage the Chamber’s programs and the Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Before her current role, Gina spent 19 years at the Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau, where she led a sales team dedicated to attracting meetings, conventions, and sports events to the area. Prior to her work in tourism, she managed marketing for The Pyramid Companies, overseeing promotional efforts for multiple malls across New York and Massachusetts.

A graduate of the University of Florida and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), Gina is actively involved in several industry organizations, including the Empire State Society of Association Executives, NYS Hospitality & Tourism Association, and SUNY Adirondack. She also gives back to the community through her involvement in the Hudson River Piecemakers Quilt Guild, Our Lady of Annunciation Church, and Wiawaka Center for Women.

Today, her multi-faceted role includes leadership and advocacy efforts, and strategic planning to drive tourism and economic growth in the Lake George region. She oversees two distinct, yet interconnected, organizations: The Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce, which serves 400 members with networking opportunities, educational programming, business advocacy, and resources; and the Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau, an extension of the Warren County Tourism Department, dedicated to attracting meetings, conventions, sports events, and group tours to our region.

Gina is sees a strong sense of unity in the Lake George area, with the businesses, organizations, and residents all working together to ensure tourism benefits everyone and the beauty of our area is maintained. She draws inspiration from the people she works with every day who exude creativity, dedication, and resilience.

From helping small businesses navigate challenges, to championing tourism while preserving the natural environment of Lake George, her passion for the region only grows stronger all the time.
