2023 Heroes of Hospitality: Helene Horn

(1925-2023)

Helene Horn was a beloved member of our community known for her kindness and devotion to children and senior citizens.

In addition to her many commitments as a teacher and leader of the Caldwell Presbyterian Church, she contributed to her family’s success at the Around the World miniature golf course and Zachary’s.

Helene was a board member of the Lake George Scholarship Association and the Lake George Youth Commission. She served young people in many ways as a charter member of the Lake George Center and as a Sunday School teacher.

She had a warm heart for lonely elders in the community, too, as the organizer of the Eat-Aloners Club for seniors and as the organizer behind a volunteer transportation service for seniors. Helene cared for the people of all ages who care for our visitors.
