Jim Kneeshaw

Jim was a proud veteran, educator, business owner and inspiration to all who knew him. He was trained to fly Navy fighters and made more than 200 landings in the Western Pacific.

After active service, Jim joined the Naval Reserve and served in the Civilian Air Patrol. He and his family operated the Rondack Motel and Cottages, and he worked for many years as a teacher and administrator in the Queensbury schools.

In retirement, he served as an interim superintendent of schools in Ticonderoga. He was devoted to public service and served on the Bolton Planning and Zoning Boards and as a member of the Lake George Park Commission’s Marine Patrol.

He had a passion for the protection of Lake George and served by gubernatorial appointment on the Lake George Park Commission Board for 17 years. The Lake George community is deeply indebted to him for his service, leadership and many contributions to the lake and our communities.
