When asked what sort of improvements or refreshes have been made to The Stone Gate Resort since the owners took over in 2019, we were surprised by how extensive the property has been renovated!
After purchasing the resort, the LeBlancs fully refurbished the interiors of the cabins and rooms, including updating the flooring, furniture, linens, and decor, and recently they replaced all the mattresses.
The pool and pool deck were resurfaced, and the courtyard and parking lot were both paved. Communal fire pits, now a guest favorite, were added, along with the beach terrace and seating. Outdoor spaces were enhanced with turf areas, a resurfaced basketball court, and pickleball courts were installed. Even the playground received a facelift!
Previously unused spaces were converted into a game room, a guest laundry area, and a fully equipped fitness center. Every building received a fresh coat of paint, new roofs, and updated landscaping for a cohesive and inviting look.

Guests are close to attractions such as lake cruises, parasailing and mini golf courses, as well as popular events like the Thursday night fireworks in the Village and Americade. Additionally, there are plenty of excellent dining options nearby in Lake George and Bolton Landing.
“One activity we recommend daily is hiking,” the LeBlancs said. “There’s no better way to experience the beauty of Lake George than from a scenic overlook after a rewarding trek. We always encourage our guests to spend time outdoors and create special family moments on the trails.”

Cabins
For increased privacy and space, a cabin gives you the freedom to cook on your own stove or grill, and enjoy a private fire pit and picnic table. There are 15 cabins available with 1 to 2 bedrooms.

Located within the property’s hotel building, the family suites are perfectly positioned to nearly all of The Stone Gate Resort’s outdoor activities. Suites combine two enhanced hotel rooms for extra space that parents traveling with children appreciate.
Note, the cabins and hotel building are not located directly on the lake, but the property is lakefront. Cabin rentals are available weekly or multi-weekly.
