Hurricane Grill & Wings Now Open at Six Flags Great Escape Lodge
They've been talking about it, and now it's here: Hurricane Grill & Wings is now open at the Six Flags Great Escape Lodge! Patrons can expect a causal, family-friendly environment.
Menu highlights include jumbo wings, over 30 signature sauces and rubs, marinated steak and avocado tacos, mahi mahi, seared ahi tuna, premium burgers, and more. Kid-friendly options and an indoor-outdoor bar with cocktails and draft beers make it perfect for the whole family.
They're open 11am to 10pm daily. The new restaurant has already racked up several positive Google reviews, with patrons praising the atmosphere, servers, and wings.
Hurricane Grill & Wings has nearly 50 restaurants across the US, however this is the first one to operate out of a Six Flags property. Johnny Rockets, the prior restaurant at this location, closed in September of 2023.
Holly Jolly Harris: Harris Grocery Store Chosen for Christmas Movie Set Location
Dane Morton, owner of Adirondack Adventure Center and its neighboring convenience/grocery store, Harris Grocery, posted an exciting update on Facebook on January 24!
Morton shared the following message to Harris Grocery's Facebook page: "I got a Facebook message from a movie director last night around 8pm saying that their previous set location had fallen through, and they were looking for a general store to film a few scenes. Now here they are filming a Christmas movie at Harris Grocery. I was told it may be on Amazon Prime video once finished!"
Harris Grocery in Lake Luzerne is a classic country store and deli that serves up breakfast sandwiches, snacks, fishing bait, and other odds and ends you might want if you're camping at nearby Lake Luzerne State Campground, or partaking in one of Adirondack Adventure Center's activities.

Mark your calendars—Silver Bay’s Mountain Music Festival is returning to the shores of Lake George from September 12–14, 2025! Hosted at the Silver Bay YMCA, this beloved festival is set to bring an incredible lineup of bluegrass and folk-inspired musicians, plus an enhanced festival experience that promises more music, more connection, and more opportunities to soak in the beauty of the Adirondacks.
A Lineup That Elevates Bluegrass
This year’s festival boasts an exciting mix of performers, blending traditional bluegrass with fresh, innovative sounds. From seasoned musicians to rising stars, each artist brings their own twist to the genre.
Friday night kicks things off with performances by Tim Rodrigue & Norm Allen, Reese Fulmer & The Carriage House Band, and the Bunker Boys. Saturday’s lineup is packed, featuring On the Trail, City Pickers, Bloodroot Gap, Becky Buller & Ned Luberecki, Barefoot Movement, and the Kruger Brothers. The festival wraps up on Sunday with a special “Gospel Hour,” followed by a postlude performance from Upstate Bluegrass Band on the Inn Porch.
