New Indoor Adult Waterpark & Casino Coming to Lake George This Summer

Lake George just hit the jackpot! While there were plans in place for apartments, offices, and retail spaces to take over the former Water Slide World property, plans have changed. The 12 acres on Route 9L in Lake George will now be turned into Lake George’s Lucky Lagoon.

Rides, Features & Experiences

Winning Waters Entertainment has finalized the purchase of the former Water Slide World site for $6 million, slightly above the $5.9 million asking price.

“Lake George is the perfect place to blend excitement and relaxation in a one-of-a-kind, adults only, indoor waterpark/casino destination,” Mason Rivers, CEO of Winning Waters Entertainment, said in a statement.

We can expect the following from the brand new, 21+ attraction, plus more to be announced:

*The Lazy Jackpot: A lazy river that floats past slot machines you can swim up to and play.

*The Roulette Wheel: A giant spinning ride where riders sit in numbered seats, and a dealer calls out which numbers will be pelted by water guns.

*Poker Face Funhouse: A maze of mirrors, trick rooms, and hilarious situations where guests must keep a straight face to win.

*Blackjack Bumper Cars: Drivers crash into each other for points, aiming to get as close to 21 as possible.

Cap off your visit at Ace’s Oasis, a tranquil spa zone offering private hot tubs and cocktail service—perfect for unwinding before cashing in your chips and heading home.

Casino Chip Tickets Can Be Cashed In

At Lake George’s Lucky Lagoon, each ride or game requires a set number of casino chips, with values determined by color. Guests can purchase chips online in advance. (Tickets to the attraction itself will also be required, pricing to be determined, although parking will be free.)

Any unused casino chips at the end of the visit can be cashed in for prizes, or used as discounts at the on-site cafe, Big Spin Bistro.

Winning Waters Is In It to Win It

This will be Winning Waters Entertainment’s third major attraction, after having opened Jersey’s Jackpot Bay in Atlantic City in 2023, and Southern Splash & Spin in Charleston, South Carolina in 2022.

The released statement indicated construction is starting as soon as possible, with an optimistic opening date of July 19, 2025.

Put your babysitter on standby and stay tuned for more information on Lake George’s newest attraction as it becomes available!

Fresh Look, Same Flavor: The Pizza Shop Is Now Canepa’s Pizza Shop

pizza with pickles and cabbage

After a decade of serving up delicious slices to the Warrensburg community, The Pizza Shop has officially rebranded as Canepa’s Pizza Shop.

The new name pays tribute to owners Giovanni and Maggie Canepa, who have been at the heart of the business since its early days. While the name has changed, the pizzeria remains committed to delivering the same high-quality food and welcoming atmosphere that customers have come to love.

As part of the rebranding, Canepa’s Pizza Shop has introduced a fresh new logo and an updated storefront, designed with the help of local businesses.

Baird Brothers Construction, a trusted name in the region, was responsible for the renovations, while Glens Falls-based Trampoline Design created the shop’s sleek new branding.

To recognize this milestone, Canepa’s Pizza Shop is planning a ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce. The event, set to take place in May, will give customers a chance to join in the celebration.

From classic New York-style pies to creative gourmet pizzas, Canepa’s menu continues to feature fresh ingredients and handcrafted flavors. Whether stopping in for a quick slice or ordering a family dinner, customers can expect the same great taste and friendly service that has defined the pizzeria for the past ten years.

More information, including the full menu, can be found on their updated website at canepaspizza.com.

A new seasonal RV park is coming to Lake George! Local residents Nick DeMartino and Michael Buzzo have purchased Nob Hill Campground and plan to transform it into Adirondack RV, a modernized seasonal getaway for families.

Located at 351 Middle Road, the park will offer 30 campsites with power, internet, and shared bathhouse facilities. The new owners aim to create a welcoming space for long-term campers looking for an affordable retreat.

DeMartino and Buzzo have been longtime visitors to Nob Hill Campground and saw its potential. They plan to update the campground’s infrastructure and add new amenities, including a community center.

Adirondack RV will operate from April through November, giving campers plenty of time to experience the beauty of spring, summer, and fall in the Adirondacks. With easy access to Lake George and downtown, the campground will be a prime location for seasonal stays.

The new park is expected to be fully operational for the 2025 season. As Lake George continues to evolve, this project reflects a broader trend of improving campgrounds to better serve visitors.
